Lesson Plan Supplemental Materials

In this lesson there are three activities. First off I will start the lesson by presenting a prezi of "we are going on a bear hunt". I will let them know that they can sing along with the prezi. They will then go on a scavenger hunt outside in the playground. Using their iPad's they will take pictures of what they find. Later I will combined the best items and help them make a new scavenger hunt for the following day. Also after they find their items and remember where its located I will let them use doddle buddy app on their iPad's and draw a map of where its located.

The three activities using technology:
1.Prezi


One the first day of the lesson I will introduce them to "We are going on a bear hunt" song on youtube. I will then present them my prezi that I created and sing along with them.

2. Making a scavenger hunt
After we finishing singing the bear hunt song I will then explain to the children that we are going outside to go on a scavenger hunt. I will tell them to grab their iPad's and take pictures of items they find. The we will combined all the items and pick the best ones and then we will go on the website and make a scavenger hunt list using http://www.quickhunts.com/free-scavenger-hunt-list.html.

In the photo above I created a random list of items that may be found on a scavenger hunt as an example.

3. Doddle Buddy
I will make sure the iPad's have doddle buddy downloaded on it for the children to use.
I will let the children work together if they wanted to make a map drawing of the scavenger hunt. They can work together to located where the items are at and they can draw arrows and lines to help them located the items.
